Movable dividers. Infinite layouts. One system. Live now on Kickstarter from US$42.

Orbitkey Grid Desk Organiser Lets You Build Your Own Layout

Melbourne, AU (May 2026) – Orbitkey, the Melbourne-based organisation brand behind 12 successful Kickstarter campaigns and over 67,000 rewards delivered, today launches the Grid Desk Organiser on Kickstarter. It is the brand’s most ambitious desk product to date: a modular, stackable desk organisation system built around a patent-pending snap-in divider that lets users configure their own compartments around the items they actually use.

Most desk organisers solve the wrong problem. Fixed compartments force users to work around the product. Open trays look organised for a day before everything ends up in a pile. The Grid Desk Organiser takes the opposite approach – the layout shapes itself around the items, not the other way around. At the core of the system is a customisable pegboard divider. Snap the dividers in, move them around, and build compartments that fit what is actually on the desk – pens, cables, AirPods, glasses, hard drives, SD cards. Reconfigure whenever the setup changes. No fixed slots, no wasted space.

The system launches with two sizes – the Grid Desk Organiser and the Grid Desk Organiser Mini – and three colourways: Black, Stone, and Terracotta. Both sizes feature three functional layers: a main tray with the divider system, a secondary accessory tray for smaller items, and a lid that doubles as a valet tray for quick-access essentials. The layered trays slide open for fluid access without lifting or unpacking.

The Grid Desk Organiser is designed to sit on a desk, in a drawer, on a bedside table, or anywhere order is needed. Units are stackable and expandable horizontally and vertically, with future-compatible accessories and inserts planned.

The product builds directly on Orbitkey’s most successful Kickstarter campaign to date — the Nest, which raised US$646,244 from 5,614 backers in 2020. Where Nest was designed for portability, the Grid Desk Organiser is built to stay.

    Features

Patent-pending divider system – Snap-in pegboard dividers let users build compartments around their actual items. Move them whenever the setup changes – no fixed slots, no wasted space.

Modular and expandable – Two sizes that stack, slide, and combine. Start with one. Grow the system as the desk setup evolves. Future-compatible inserts and accessories planned.

Three layers of organisation – The main tray holds everyday items with customisable dividers. The accessory tray adds a second level for smaller items. The lid doubles as a valet tray for quick-access essentials like keys, wallet, or phone.

Slide to access – The layered setup lets users slide the top tray to access what is underneath – fast, fluid, and without unpacking.

Built for real desks – Designed to sit on a desk, in a drawer, on a bedside table, or anywhere order is needed. Soft-touch rubberised interior protects items. Soft feet for quieter desk contact. Handle on the lid doubles as a portrait phone stand.

From the makers of Nest – 5,614 backers. US$646,244 raised. The Grid Desk Organiser takes Nest’s most loved feature and builds a complete desk system around it – more affordable, more customisable, and designed to stay on the desk.

    Pricing and Availability

Live on Kickstarter from 14 May 2026. Campaign closes 10 June 2026. Backer pricing of up to 30% off RRP closes at campaign end. A free gift is available for the first 5,000 backers.

Available in three colourways: Black, Stone, and Terracotta.
Rewards expected to ship July–August 2026.
