Peter Steinberger, the creator of the fast-growing open-source agent framework OpenClaw, is joining OpenAI Group PBC after weeks of being courted by multiple major artificial intelligence players, marking a notable coup for the company as the battle over agentic AI intensifies. OpenClaw, formerly known as Clawdbot and Moltbot, is an agentic artificial intelligence framework designed to run continuously and act on behalf of users. The software allows AI agents to execute commands, interact with external services, integrate with messaging platforms and operate with broad system-level permissions. OpenAI Chief Executive Sam Altman announced the hire on Sunday on X Inc., saying…

Microsoft has disclosed details of a new version of the ClickFix social engineering tactic in which the attackers trick unsuspecting users into running commands that carry out a Domain Name System (DNS) lookup to retrieve the next-stage payload. Specifically, the attack relies on using the “nslookup” (short for nameserver lookup) command to execute a custom DNS lookup triggered via the Windows Run dialog. ClickFix is an increasingly popular technique that’s traditionally delivered via phishing, malvertising, or drive-by download schemes, often redirecting targets to bogus landing pages that host fake CAPTCHA verification or instructions to address a non-existent problem on their…
SaaS is changing. And the only way forward is rebuilding trust and actually creating a community. But there’s a catch. You have to solve a real problem to be worthy of that referral. The SaaS industry is currently navigating a “SaaSpocalypse”—a condition where the market is saturated with “wrappers,” automated noise, and broken trust. In 2026, the traditional referral model of “Give $20, Get $20” is officially dead. It has been replaced by The Sovereign Network: a community of high-intent advocates who vouch for your product not for a kickback, but because it protects their professional reputation and solves a…
AI will have an impact on work between 2025 and 2035 similar to that of the internet between 2000 and 2010.The automation of this or that has grown into an under-the-radar redesign of entire practices, including recruiting and customer care, as well as writing, research, and graphics. The data we have for 2024 to 2025 already show the curve: adoption levels topping 70%, concrete improvements in productivity, and concerns over creativity, equity, and reliability. This paper gathers the latest international evidence on AI at work, including the extent of its use, the industries and occupations where it is spreading fastest, and workers’…
Happy Valentine’s Day. Don’t let romance scams — which ramp up around the holiday and are at an all-time high — break your heart. These scams cost Americans $3 billion last year alone. That’s almost certainly an undercount, given victims’ particular reluctance to report that they’ve fallen for such ruses. Many romance scams fall under the umbrella of so-called “pig-butchering” scams, in which fraudsters build relationships with and gain the trust of victims over long periods of time. The moniker is a crude reference to fattening up a pig before the slaughter — and they go for the whole hog, repeatedly attempting…
On today’s episode of You Asked: Can we give it a rest with pumping up the TV brightness? Why is Samsung adding Nvidia G-Sync support but not Dolby Vision? And what type of TV will work best in a room with wraparound windows? Can we stop pumping up TV brightness? Hisense U9QG Digital Trends @allclear4115 asks: I’m depressed about TVs nowadays.. Not because they’re too bright, but because they can’t be tamed at all. Rest in peace, dark room! First off, I definitely understand the brightness fatigue. Everything seems to be “X times brighter than the previous generation” or “brightest…

Airbnb plans to double down on artificial intelligence to improve its user experience for both guests and hosts. During a fourth-quarter earnings call, Airbnb’s CEO, Brian Chesky, said the company is building an “AI-native experience” aimed at helping guests book trips, assisting hosts with their listings, and running the company more efficiently. According to Chesky, there’s an AI search tool to help guests book trips that’s live for a small percentage of users right now.In a shareholder letter posted on Airbnb’s website, the company said it’s conducting early testing with an AI-powered search that is “focused on giving guests a…
New Fitness FeaturesCourtesy of AppleThere are many reasons to wear an Apple Watch besides the health features. Maybe you just want quick access to your text, calendars, or Siri. Maybe you want to keep track of your kid or make sure your elderly mom doesn’t fall down.Still, I have been following the Apple Watch’s development for years, from a fairly standard wearable accessory to a fully featured fitness tracker that now compares favorably against the high-end Garmins and Suuntos of the world. Since its inception, Apple has gone all in on the watch as a personal health device, with CEO…
