Glean Technologies Inc.’s roots are in enterprise search, which has provided the company with a useful springboard to become one of the leading developers of enterprise-grade autonomous agents and AI-powered business solutions.
The company’s ability to help businesses create “horizontal” AI agents that can draw from broad organizational data sources has allowed it to build tools that equip agents with the knowledge they need to be useful. Its agentic development platform, available through AWS Marketplace, has given clients an entry point into AI and enabled them to develop secure, production-ready systems.
“Glean is an enterprise AI platform that helps employees find answers,” said Zubin Irani (pictured), vice president of partnerships at Glean. “We take actions, we build agents, and it’s grounded in your real company data. It allows every department to embrace AI and get the benefits of AI while still tapping into the company’s knowledge repository and doing that in a safe way.”
Irani spoke with John Furrier, co-founder and CEO of SiliconANGLE Media Inc., for the AWS Marketplace Series on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed how Glean has tailored its services and products to build an AI platform grounded in enterprise data. (* Disclosure below.)
Focus on higher AI value
Glean is integrated with the AWS ecosystem, leveraging Amazon Bedrock and working with services and reseller partners through AWS Marketplace. Glean’s open model choice on AWS allows customers to plug in new solutions while keeping pace with fast-moving AI innovations.
“We can now focus on the higher value, getting to the decisions and executing on those decisions,” Irani told theCUBE. “I think that’s the big transformation. A platform like Glean running with AWS, what we do is we bring all the various models to the customer so we can use the right model for the right job.”
Glean’s platform and AI alliances have resulted in a growing number of enterprise use cases. Customers are discovering the benefits of applying AI to specific areas, such as the request-for-proposal process, according to Irani.
Some of the company’s healthcare customers previously handled about 10 RFPs a month, with win rates hovering around 10%.
“Using AI, they can go find 100 RFPs a month now across the country, with all these different regulators and organizations that are looking for solutions,” Irani said. “They’re able to, one, find more RFPs, and then they’re able to process them in two hours, three hours as opposed to 40 hours.”
In February, Glean announced expanded capabilities for its AI-powered coworker Glean Assistant, making it more customizable and offering enhanced tools such as real-time voice support, the ability to generate on-brand content, proactive templates and agent sandboxes for sensitive tasks. It’s part of the company’s strategy to help customers with solutions for taking action across the enterprise.
“We’ve always had actions, we’re leaning much more into that,” Irani said. “We draw up products every month, features, but it is more about doing. Where the market and the industry’s going is, ‘OK, I now have the right information, I need to now go do these things and how do I make that easier and more powerful?’ We’ve got some pretty strong releases coming out there.”
